President Duma Boko has praised Cape Town-based Table Bay Logistics for its pivotal role in promoting Botswana beef exports, particularly through its support of the Botswana Meat Commission (BMC).
President Boko made these remarks during a tour of the company’s storage facilities yesterday.
“I am excited to have seen this place; it strengthens my belief that BMC can and will be profitable,” said Boko. “You are profitable, and we need to address the other areas that are pulling BMC down. Once we do that, it shouldn’t take us long to achieve our goals.”
Table Bay Logistics has raised at least R20 million for the Botswana Meat Commission in the just-ended financial year, according to the company’s Chief Executive Officer, Shatho Manyanda.
Speaking during the facility tour, Manyanda emphasised the company’s commitment to BMC’s growth and its broader ambitions on the continent.
“We want to be the leading cold storage company in Africa. Our mission is to provide cold chain solutions to a global clientele,” Manyanda said, highlighting the company’s impact on expanding BMC’s footprint internationally.
Strategically located just 900 meters from the harbour entrance in Cape Town, Table Bay Logistics specialises in delivering high-quality, temperature-controlled storage and handling solutions for a wide range of frozen and chilled products, primarily destined for the European Union market.
