The Minister of Trade and Entrepreneurship, Hon. Tiroeaone Ntsima, yesterday officiated the 2026 Botswana Investment Forum (BIF), organized by the Botswana Development Corporation (BDC) at Fairground Holdings in Gaborone.
Held under the theme “Capital. Enterprise. Growth,” the forum brought together local and international investors, financial institutions, policymakers, and business executives to discuss investment prospects and explore ways to unlock capital for Botswana’s economic development.
The gathering provided a platform for stakeholders to deliberate on strategies to strengthen the country’s investment climate, attract fresh capital, and support business expansion across various economic sectors.
A central objective of the forum was to reposition Botswana’s investment approach—shifting from merely showcasing opportunities to securing bankable financial commitments that translate into bankable projects and commercially sustainable enterprises.
Through this initiative, Botswana aims to stimulate economic growth, expand private-sector participation, and create meaningful employment opportunities while accelerating its broader economic transformation agenda.
